Our Mission

To advance professionalism through education,training and exchanging of information, by providing technical assistance to members and others; to develop publications on various aspects of jail management and to conduct education conferences and seminars on matters relating to jail management and systems.

To provide leadership in the development of professional standards, management practices, programs and services.

To present and advance the interest, needs, concerns, and proficiencies of the corrections profession.

To bring together all persons concerned or charges with the care, custody and control of persons awaiting court appearance, serving sentences or otherwise locally confined in the jails of the state to improve conditions of confinement or detention.
